Tips for the fiance visa interview in Moscow, Russia

Only the US Embassy in Moscow can process a K1 Fiance Visa application for Russian fiancees. The following is a list of tips to help you with your interview.

  • All documents should be brought with you to the Moscow embassy on the day of your fiance visa interview, do not send them in advance unless instructed to do so.
  • The US Citizen petitioner can not attend your fiancee visa interview with you.
  • Any children immigrating on a K-2 visa must go with you to the interview.
  • Each document must have been copied and also translated into English. The translation must be notarized if in a language other than Russian.
  • The K1 fiance visa or K2 visa application fee of $131 for each applicant must be paid on the day of the interview after being instructed to do so. The US Embassy in Moscow, Russia accepts dollars and rubles for payment for the fiance visa fee. Credit cards are not accepted.
