K1 Visa Attorney Fees

K1 Visa AttorneyCouples who embark on the US fiance visa (also called the K1 Visa) process question whether or not they even need a K1 Visa Attorney. Many think, “what could be simpler than filling out a bunch of forms?” What these couples fail to realize is that filling out forms is only a minor part of the process — knowing the potential red flags, evidentiary burdens and post-specific idiosyncrasies, in advance, can make or break your case. That’s where I come in. Sadly, when things go wrong, couples who attempted things on their own often have to pay me more money to try and save the case than they would have had they hired an attorney from the beginning.

I pride myself in offering personalized and individual service to my clients. Your case will not be handled by a receptionist or paralegal; you only deal with me. As such, I am able to assist clients with the K1 visa process at fair and reasonable flat fee rates. My flat fee prices include unlimited email and telephone contact (often at night and on weekends), including international calls via Skype.

The fiance visa process can be roughly broken down into 3 main steps. You will find my K1 Visa attorney fee for each step outlined below. The quoted fee is for a typical case and, thus, a final fee cannot be quoted until a consultation has been conducted.  Payment plans may be available in certain situations.

Attorney Fee for K1 Visa Steps 1 & 2

In Step 1 of the K1 Visa process, the US citizen petitions the government for a chance to bring his or her fiance to the US for marriage and, later, permanent residence (green card). This entire process is typically done by mail in the US (i.e. the US Citizen rarely need appear at the local USCIS office for an interview). Step 2 in obtaining a K1 visa concerns the visa interview with the US Department of State at the foreign fiance’s local US Embassy or Consulate. Steps 1 and 2 are always combined, as my work is not complete until there has been an interview at the US Embassy or Consulate abroad. Be sure the Attorney that you hire shares this philosophy or you could be left unrepresented at the most crucial point in the case. (Those who have already attempted the process themselves with Step 1 but realize they need a K1 visa attorney to help with Step 2 can call my office to discuss pricing.)

Attorney Fee for K1 Visa Step 3

Once you have successfully obtained a visa for the foreign fiance and you marry in the US, work still needs to be done in order to obtain a green card.  Attorney fees for Step 3 are discounted if I have already handled the previous 2 steps.
